Big Plans

Boy Scout Sunday (February 5) will be a major do at EFUMC this year. I'm putting together a mass choir of Cubs, Scouts, Venturers, and Leaders to perform "Alleluia! Sing to Jesus!" The tune is Hyfrydol. I'll accompany them on organ. If I can get a couple of trumpeters, that'll be way cool; if not, I'll transpose the trumpet parts on the organ.

I'm also trying to recruit three Scouts to tag-team preach that Sunday. I asked the first one tonight, and he agreed without hesitation. That's the spirit! And then, of course, we're presenting NAUMS Scout Sunday patches to all our scoutish folk on that day. And I've got some other tricks up my sleeve. So far, I'm getting good cooperation from everyone I've approached to help.

EFUMC is the scouting church in this area. Time to show everybody what we've got going on. Don't be hiding that lamp under that bushel basket!
