It's been real, and it's been fun . . .

I suppose it had to happen sooner or later. Today, I de-friended and banned somebody from my LJ. She was tactless and annoying, but I welcomed her and always treated her courteously.

Finally, I called her to task for a post I found deeply offensive. I thought she was just basically clueless and insensitive, so I tried to engage her on it instead of merely blasting her. If I hadn't invested something in having an LJ relationship with her, I wouldn't have said anything at all. I got, in return, an insulting reply.

I asked collinsmom what to do. I fretted and fumed. And finally, I replied to the comment that I found insulting, with an emphatic good-bye.

I hate all this drama.
