Scouting Ahead

We took up our first offering for the Indiana Scouting Ministry mission trip to the Democratic Republic of the Congo today. I spoke briefly about what we're trying to accomplish. It's going to take a bunch of money to do this. But it's also going to take God calling some Scouts to offer themselves as short-term missionaries. I am confident that God can do his part. Now, we just need for Indiana United Methodists to do theirs.

At the men's meeting this afternoon, I also mentioned getting the Congo trip adopted as a mission project or special offering by the are UM Men when they plan their Lenten breakfasts.
