Pointing fingers
Slowly, the whole skinny on the disaster in New Orleans is coming out. There will be plenty of blame -- and plenty of credit -- to pass around. However, for all those who hysterically condemned the federal response in the early days, here's a little item that you might consider:

One of our fundamental rights in this country is to elect corrupt, incompetent bozos to public office -- and to kick them out later on. When passing around blame and credit, remember the voters who chose this crowd. Not that I want to blame the victims, but "actions have consequences," and the actions of the State and local officials have had huge consequences -- as have the actions of the voters who put them in office.
