Keeping faith

I updated my contact information with the National Marrow Donor Program today. I joined in 1994, when a 15-year-old Scout named Nathan Edmonds was searching for a marrow donor. I met Nathan when he attended a couple of our Evansville District United Methodist Scouts and Scouters Retreats. He was suffering from adrenoleukodystrophy. No suitable donor was found for him, and he died about a year after I signed up. But I have not forgotten, and for his sake I continue on the national registry, in case I could help some other person some day.
